Have you ever wondered about creating a character illustration based on the concept in Adobe Illustrator but don’t know where to begin? This course is for you! I will give you ideas for creating it simply.
You’ll learn:
How to get started with Adobe Illustrator with basic tools?
How to select the topic and concept needed for your Illustration?
How and where to find inspiration and fresh ideas for your Illustration?
How to draw the sketch based on the inspiration taken?
And finally, how to create your Illustration from sketch?
We will kick off with several exercises to practice sketching from imagination and observing the inspiration. Then we will bring all these together in our real example project to create a character illustration.
I will provide you with ideas of where we can take the inspiration and open up your mind block on choosing the concept.
When it comes to the requirements for this course, you need paper and pencil for the sketch, Laptop, or a desktop with adobe illustrator to create the Character Illustration.

To design the character illustration:
You have to choose the concept first(i.e.) it can be the profession. To avoid the blockage on professional ideas, use the random job generator tool found in the Topic Selection lesson resources link.
After the profession selection, use the Unsplash website to find a character inspiration for the character pose.
